New Patient Registration

To register with Kingsway Medical Centre please visit us.

The doctors welcome new patients who live within our practice area.  As it often takes sometime for records to be forwarded from your former practice all newly registered patients will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and are offered a consultation with a nurse or doctor.

Medical treatment is available from the date of registration.  Please contact reception for further information.

Registering with a surgery also entails some responsibilities as a patient :

It is your responsibility to inform us if you change your contact details (home address or telephone number).

It is your responsibility to cancel an appointment if you are unable to keep it.

Regular failure to attend appointments may mean you will be removed from the practice list.

Patients who are rude, abusive or violent to any of the practice team may also be removed from the practice.

If you request a telephone consultation, it is your responsibility to be available when the doctor/nurse rings you.

Practice Catchment Area

Please enter your postcode in the search bar below to see if you live within our catchment area, shaded in purple.

If your address is outside of the catchment area, you may not be accepted as a patient.

These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.

Special care has been taken to ensure that information is given in clear language, and the content and style has been tested with user groups.
